We set off in Betty today leaving Manchester for good and making it only as far as Ludlow. Driving through the wind and the rain it seemed silly of us to have expected decent weather at the end of May.
Up high on the hill above Ludlow, and despite the weather, there is a decent view from the campsite.
We're struggling on 2G internet connection out here. I still can't believe there are large (really large) parts of the UK without 3G network coverage. Telstra covered 99% of the Australian population with 3G coverage in 2007, so what's the UK's excuse? They only have 242 thousand square km's of land compared with Australia's 7.68 million square km's. It's 2013 already. The UK is seriously lagging behind.
Important Stats.
Distance Today: 117 miles / 188 km
Total Distance: 117 miles / 188 km
